in 2007, to my house going for sale as a shortsale. I have tried to obtain employment in Florida for GOD knows how longbut I just didn't have the luck to landing one. I am a single parent and I would like to know how unfortunate am I to even get a landlord to rent me an apartment with these issues now on my plate. (I am willing to pay extra security to get an apartment) I had super credit before loosing everything... now I want to go back to NY and start OVER!!! but I need an apartment preferably in the Middletown, Zerega Avenue area where I am mostly familiar. I am securing a job in a firm so I will be making around 60k. Can someone give me advise on which direction I should take... I have no other family member I can stay with my two kids and I don't want to make it rougher for my kids by moving to a bad neighborhood, bad enough they have to learn what it is to live in NY and in a condenced apt after living in huge home in Florida and not knowing anything less.
Thanks,

Good luck in your search

P.S. Note to the out of state realtor from Illinois. Issa is referring to a section of the Bronx, not Middletown, NY.
Here is a list to start from with 462 rentals in Middletown. Narrow the search and see if any of these will fit your needs.

It will not be easy. I have just finally placed a lovely couple with one child and unfortunately two dogs who have gone through a SC foreclosure. We spent weeks looking but not only found a nice home and a great place (yes, the entire house) in a fab neighborhood, at a really good price. Yes, a landlord who was willing to give them a chance.
You need a Realtor who will not give up on you. and don't be afraid to tell the prospective landlord what you have been through; there are people with hearts!
