Rebekah Dani…, Home Buyer in Canton, TX

We are looking to move to the White Rock Lake area in 2 months. We want to rent in that area - when should we start looking?

Asked by Rebekah Daniels, Canton, TX Fri Mar 1, 2013

We are under no contract in our current rental - it is on a month-to-month basis.

Hi Rebekah,

The White Rock lake area is a great area and you will love living there. I would recommend that you go ahead and start looking now so you know what is out there. Rentals can move fast so if you find something you like you will want to go ahead and act on it.

I would be glad to set you up on a property search so you can see the available leases in that area. Or you can log onto my website at http://www.jenblackwood and save a user profile and start saving searches. Then you can see anytime a new property comes available.

Let me know if I can help you.

3 weeks before your move-in date; willing to move in with 2 weeks if landlord requires; offer double security deposit if your credit is not great; employment/transfer notice & paystubs ready.

hi Rebekah,

I would start right away if you are on month to month. Its very common that properties will hold for you for 30 days.

You can visit my website at http://www.findyourtexashome.com/leasing for properties in the area.

Thanks

In this market about 30 days or less. Properties move fast. Owners expect you to move in right away or start paying right away.

There are some other strategies we also have, like having your application ready before you look, having your deposit, app fees, and first months rent ready, etc.

Here's a link to some rental properties in the White Rock area.

Hi Rebekah, that happens to be my area, a life long native! I would be happy to help you find something. Feel free to give me a call to get started. 6 month rentals are not easy to come by, but we can check into that.
