When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local authorities with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods. http://www.neighborhoodscout.com/https://www.crimereports.com/ http://www.homefair.com/ http://www.familywatchdog.us/

As mentioned already, we cannot steer clients. However, yes check portlandmaps.com for crime stats, and also greatschools.org can help you get insight into parents reviews of schools if your children will be attending school at any point. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions on specific areas you want more information about or homes as well.

Go to http://www.portlandmaps.com and look up crimes in neighborhoods. This is thebest we can do since real estate agents cannot comment. Our monthly see newspaper the connection has all the crimes listed each month n and some areas are always better. Over all I would say our city is safe for kids but what I did growing up I would probably not let my kids do because there was not the larger population we have today. Email me with questions.
