Sirine, Renter in Outside U.S.

A French student, I'll be staying in New York from January to June. Enrolled at Columbia: any advice for cheap, safe area and collocation? Thanks!

Hi,

If you are a female student, I have a female landlord could lend you a private bedroom and sharing living room, kitchen and bathroom with another female student. She charges $800/month including utility and internet. The location is Fort Lee, NJ, very clean and safe neighborhood. Just cross the Washington Bridge and half hour to Columbia University. If you are interested, please email me(
mgu@redacinc.com).

Good luck,

Ming

Yes, I strongly suggest you rent a room from someone. That'll save you a chucnk of change for rent since you're just paying for a small room with a bed and regarding the safe areas. Go on the nypd website and look at the neighborhoods around columbia. Best of luck, enjoy the city it's a great town.

Have you tried checking with the University; there are usually apartment and roommate postings.
