what if the judgement was included in bankruptcy? How do you satisfy that for FHA? Only one agency is reporting it.

I have a judgement that was included in our bankruptcy. The discharge was in 2005. Only one agency is reporting this and all i hear is you need to satisfy this. How??? Thanks...

As far as lending goes, your BK voluntary petition with schedule of creditors and finally your discharge will be all the lender needs. As far as a permanent solution, you can either call the Credit Bureau direct or just make a copy of your petition and discharge and send to the one credit bureau that still is reporting that judgement. In a letter or (Dispute Form Letter which can be found on Google) state your Name, address, and contact information and a statement to "Please update my credit file as per my Chapter (7 or 13) Bankruptcy and specifically the judgment still showing as "Not Released" Do this now so you won't have to worry about this during the loan process.

FYI, another solution is to contact a lender as they can do a correction/rapid re-score on that judgment. This be will your fastest remedy but that will come with a modest charge.

Best of Luck!

You will need to supply your discharge paperwork (showing the judgement discharge) to the credit reporting agencies and ask for your file to be corrected. Your lender/loan officer should be providing direction and assistance with this issue.

Carl's right (thumbs up). You should be able to provide the bankruptcy discharge paper to your lender. They should be able to take that paperwork to the credit reporting vendor and do what's called a "1 line update." This doesn't permanently delete it from your history but it corrects the operative credit report for your loan and does clear the loan condition.
