You'd be surprised at how quickly your score will improve by paying off your debt. Just be sure not to close your accounts! It is best to talk with a lender to figure out what your score is now, and if they have any loan programs that can accommodate your situation.

If you still need to get your score improved, I suggest contacting Second Chance Financial in La Verne. They do an excellent job of credit repair in a short amount of time, and they've been around for years. (No, I don't get a kickback for referrals!)

Good luck, and congratulations of being debt-free.....what an accomplishment!

Hi,
Thanks for the question -

Before the answer, some questions of my own:

1) Do you know your current score?
2) Do you have (or get your hands on) 3.5% of the purchase price towards your down payment?
3) How long have you been at your current job?

Thanks!
