citimortgage is my mortgage loan's servicer, how do I find out who actually owns the note?

BEST ANSWER
About 90% of mortgages are owned by either Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae. You can go on those websites and with proper identification should be able to find the answer to your question of "who actually owns the note".
