can you finance MH on 2 acres? what about getting insurance on older MH?

Yes there are a few companies who will finance older homes. Single wides are more difficult and so are homes built before about the mid 70's. Same for insurance.

Often it is easier to get a loan on the land rather than land and an MH.

Obtaining insurance for newer mobile homes is possible but with older units, it is quite difficult. The insurance companies and lenders have so many requirements it is next to impossible.
