Our client who lives in Vancouver purchased a San Diego property. She used a local San Diego lender but was required to have 25% as a downpayment. Did you ever get your information regarding condo hotels here in San Diego?

More likely than not, 25-40% would be required as a foreign Investor. There are a few lenders that still may consider such a financing option- you may be able to locate a multi-national bank in Cananda that writes US loans. We have a few here in Miami; RBC and De Jardin for example.

Hello Nader,
I am sorry to say that the restrictions have changed on the amount a foreign investor must put down on a home. Most lenders are asking for at least 25% for full documentation loan and 35% on a stated loan. Since I am not a mortgage broker or banker, I would have you speak directly to one to discuss your options. Please let me know If I can help. Are you looking in the Disney area?
