The answer to this question is, "It Depends!" If you owned the home, but did not live in it during the last three years, you may still qualify as a "First Tim Home Buyer." If, however, you did live in the home you owned, the $8000 stimulus money will not be a benefit you can receive. : ( The good things is, if you ARE going to buy another home in another state, the interest rates are terrifffffic and the average cost of buying a home is down, which should allow you to get a larger home than you would have a few years ago! If you decide to move to the Great State of Alabama, give me a call and I will fix you up!!

Sorry,the tax credit is only available for those who have not owned a home in the last 3 years.
