Help the community by answering this question:

Hello Lorrie,

You should take:

1. Two recent pay stubs
2. Two to three months bank statements( from all accounts)
3. Most recent Tax return

By taking this info in from the start, you will be giving your lender some much needed tools to get the approval process going.

Your lender will run your credit report.

Best of Luck to You!!!

Another issue to be aware of is NEVER open new CC accounts or deposit large amounts of money, or make a big purchase during the loan process. Even as long as 9 years ago when "anyone" could get a loan, I had a client who deposited 70K during the transaction, she said it was "matress" money, Bank became wary of the lage deposit and she lost the loan.

The simple answer is 2-2-2. Two years tax returns if you are self employed, or two years W'2. Two months bank or investment statements showing your down payment money and your last two pay stubs.

Good luck,

You'll need to verify your income and W2s are required for the last 2 years, tax returns & asset statements.
