What are the 3 financial programs for buying a home that Fox 13 news (on 04/21/2009) mentioned?

I know only remember 2 of them ... $6,000 UTAH state grant and the Federal tax credit of up to $8,000. But need to know about the 3rd program. Also is there a list of financial institutions who can use all three of these programs.

Dear Bruzer,

I wanted to give you a quick update on the latest news in regards to Utahs housing market. The $8000.00 Tax credit is still available and you have until November 30 for your new purchase to be funded and recorded with the county that you live in and there is a new State Funded Program that was just introduced called Home Run 2 Grant which has been provided to all Home Buyers for properties that are contracted for construction or partially finished. The Program is offering the home buyer $4000.00 which you have to apply for and be excepted for by November 30, 2009.

For more details feel free to contact me if you have any additional Real Estate Needs.

Bruzer, The lenders who are authorized to use the $6000 state grant are listed on http://www.utahhousingcorp.org. The $8000 is an IRS tax credit to be collected when you submit your taxes and this program does not have anything to do with your loan. This tax credit is available only for first time home buyers while the $6000 state grant is open to any buyers and to qualify for either program you must be an owner occupant. A few select banks are also offering a down payment match up to $5000. This program is only for lower income borrowers. Some builders are offering some private incentives which may work in tandem with the noteable ones, but is more or less a profit sharing program or just another way of saying they will take a price cut. The facts on the government programs are available at http://www.utahhousingfacts.org
Good luck with your home shopping. If you are considering a move to Box Elder County look me up.
