You have stated over and over again that: "Licensed loan officers are required to pass a very rigorous national test. Those who can't pass it then go to work for banks because they don't need to pass the test there. There is really no comparison between the two sources!"
I work for a bank, I have been in the mortgage lending profession for over 20 years, and I feel that just because I have never felt the need to take the test, you think you know more about mortgage lending than I do. You must feel strongly about what you have said over and over again, however, personally, I resent the fact that you feel that it is necessary to lump all of us that work for banks into a group that you obviously feel superior to. I enjoy working for a bank having to take the test you always are alluding to would not make me do a better job than the one I'm already doing for my employer.
I ask you to please refrain from making such statements in the future. It is offensive to a lot of hard-working, knowledable loan officers that choose not to work as a broker. Furthermore, my bank has programs for borrowers you can't compete with.
Go local.....just do it1
Licensed Mortgage Loan Officer
100% Home Loans All Over Texas For 30 Years
Lower Interest Rates
They are MUCH faster (The one I work with ALWAYS closes on time)
Smoother and less stressful transaction
Less "Red Tape"
It goes on and on and on. But, fact is.. you will end up with one of the big boys anyway.. almost all lenders sell their notes shortly after closing. Might as well get a smoother and cheaper deal up front.
