I hope by now you have found something, but I have a feeling that you may have run into some problems if you did not have any reportable credit activity in the US that will be reflected on your credit report. A good credit score is not enough! Most lenders will require a two year track record of you managing credit with 3 to 4 trade-lines. If you closed out all your credit cards and show no activity on anything else, you may have run into a roadblock.
That said, we have a couple of sources to help you if you are still looking. One source is a loan program we have that is designed specifically for individuals in your situation; those US citizens who have worked overseas for a number of years & are now back home, without any current trade-lines on their credit report.
We also provide loans to foreign nationals, and although you do not fit in category, we do run international credit reports which may help you in qualifying for a loan by being able to show you have established credit in another country.

I agree with most of what has been stated below, you may well qualify for a mortgage with your income. Most of the jumbo loans today are requesting a pretty healthy down payment (20-25%) to get good terms. The other factors could be your living out of the country and coming back, do you have employment that transfers etc.
In the event you decide to consider seller financing I have an executive home in a gated community that is 4100 square feet with a pool, spa etc in 85255 that the seller will finance. This home is very sharp!
You should have options, lets explore them to find the best situation for you.

Sounds like you are in great shape. Your credit score is fine and the next thing to consider is your debt/income ratio (which sounds like you have little debt). You will need to substantiate your income and provide tax returns (if you filed them), bank statements, etc.

Closing out your credit cards did not hurt you that much. With your income, down payment, and Fico score you should have no problem getting a mortgage.

Another option to add to the mix is SELLER financing participation. As a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, I find that one must consider updated approaches to unique financing plans developed in previous challenging markets. Short sales can be included as well if negotiated properly.
As Donald said, a lender is the one to speak too. Getting a mortgage wold depend on your debt to income ratio (likely that's good with no CC debt, and I'm guessing no car or existing mortgage payment), how much you want to spend on a home (unknown to us), down payment (you're in good shape even for a higher end 85225 home). Your credit history may be somewhat problematic -- not the score so much as many who live overseas for an extended time just sort of "fall off the credit map". Your down payment and solid income likely offset that though.
We recommend speaking to a couple of lenders and would be happy to provide some references.
