Hi Lundon-
No one knows what Uncle sam wil decide.
The National Association Of Realtors is lobbying hard to get it extended (and expanded).
But, at this time, to qualify, a deal MUST be closed before December 1st, 2009.
We all hope that it will be extended.

Mr. Pick...I heard the same thing about the extension. The government is no where near hitting their goal for refinances by the end of the year. Someone in the industry mentioned to me that the $15,000 would be for anyone regardless of first time homebuyer or veteran.
Hi Lundon,
If I was a betting man, I would put my money on the chances of the government extending the tax credit. The current administration doesn't seem to mind spending money, so I think it will happen. There has even been talk of increasing the credit from $8,000 to $15,000, but at this point in the game, your guess is as good as mine. If you need any help with the pre-approval process, please let me know as I would be glad to help!

Hi Lunden,
You never know what will actually happen, but there happened to be an article in our paper this weekend that talked about this possibility. This has been a factor in moving the housing industry so there is a strong chance, but with all of the debates about government spending, it's hard to tell for sure.
