Getting a pre-approval is extremely easy! We should focus on getting a prequalification. To do so, you would need to gather some very important documents:
â€¢ Identification Card (e.g. Driverâ€™s License, State ID, Passport, etc).
â€¢ 2 years Tax Returns.
â€¢ Last 2 Bank Statements.
â€¢ Last 2 Pay Stubs.
â€¢ 2 years W2.
Call your bank, credit union, mortgage broker, etc, requesting an appointment with a loan officer. Bring these documents along with you. Be prepared to run your credit (seeking your credit worthiness). Inform the officer of your goal. Whenever asked for additional information, make sure to bring them as quickly as possible.
Just make sure you have all your paperwork in order such as:
- Current paystubs
-2 Years of w2's and Tax Forms
-Government I.D- passport, license
-Current bank statements (checking, savings, 401K, pension, stocks and bonds if you have)
Are your trying to get the tax credit? Are you in contract on a property yet? You must be in contract by
april 30th otherwise you missed it, and then there is no need to rush.
