Should suffice. Since then, I have been told that is not sufficient to close the loan. Has anyone else had an experience like this with a positive outcome? I have a tax advocate assigned to my case, and I am hoping that a letter and stamped copies of the legitimate returns will suffice? It's an fha loan that is supposed to close within a week.

Melinda, thank you very much. Do you know who the lender was in this case? I am in Michigan as well.

Matt, I just had one close like that on an FHA loan this Spring. Lender helped take care of it & it closed. Also an FHA buyer. However, I think they just took the affidavit. It was shocking for my buyer too! I don't have a lot of details about it because like I said Lender handled it.

I hope this post helps encourage you to keep fighting for it!
