Oh wow, I didn't know BofA pulled out of doing foreign national loans. I've been using them for all my foreign national buyers needing financing for the last 2 years and they were doing great. RBC will do them and they are also great with Canadians, so I'll probably start using them more after I confirm BofA really pulled out.

Yes, and those idiots still want BoA pre-qual letters on their BoA bank owned sales. What a poor organizarion they are.

I see this is an old question, however I was going through and reading the comments. I have represented Foreign Nationals on several occasions and have sent my clients to David Hager who is with BBVA Compass. He has done a fine job and the terms are really good too. His contact information is david.hager@bbvacompass.com and his phone number is 904-564-8657.

Hope that helps

We were told on Friday that Bank of America was going out of the foreign national market because Fannie Mae won't buy them. They said if you have a loan in now already in the works, they will do those. If you had someone else you wanted to submit, you could with a property address to purchase, but if you didn't they will not accept anything else. We were told we had until Tuesday to submit anyone that did have an address.

I also wasn't aware of this, hopefully they will complete those already in process!! I can't find anything on Google relating to this and assume this is very recent.

Sun Trust are also offering finance for foreign nationals, at least I know they are for UK buyers.

Good luck

Helen
