Neo- It is great you have a down payment of 140k. Assuming you have strong credit, you should qualify for a mortgage payment of ~ $1600/month for taxes, insurance, and principal and interest. This would translate to a purchase price of 300-400k, depending on property taxes, etc. Of course, this is predicated on qualifying you and proof of income continuance, credit, and assets.
I would be happy to pre-approve you.
You mentioned the funds you have available and the income also that you have no debt all good but how is your credit. You should have no problem getting a mortgage but that all depends on how much you want and your credit. with 140k down @ 20 % thats close to 700,000 but $3000 INCOME WILL NOT SUPPORT that note so you will not look for something in that price range. Your credit will reflect in your payment the rate you will get will raise or lower your payment. Based on your abillity to make payments you could look in the $400000 dollar range and not have to use all your downpayment money. I work with some of the best mortgage people out there today, they are very honest and will tell you straight up where you stand in this market. I would love to assit you in making that connection before you begin to search for home.
