surronding areas. I want to put a spreadsheet together of annual operating expenses after the purchase to include real estate taxes, maintenance fees, insurance, etc. Do you know how or where I would be able to go in order to get this information in one place?
Hi,
Skip is right about the real estate taxes. On the maintenance and insurance, be sure to verify the maintenance fees and who pays for insurance with the HOA association directly. For instance http://www.Bristolmanagement.com is a site that does many associations in Jupiter or you can usually Google the HOA. Information can vary in the MLS and is sometimes outdated. I would establish a relationship with an insurance company that can give you individual quotes on the different properties you are looking at.
Hope this is helpful
If purchasing a home in Palm Beach County, you can figure on your real estate taxes being about 2% of the purchase price. If you go to the property appraisers website, http://www.co.palm-beach.fl.us/papa/index.htm you can find out exactly what they will be with an on site calculator. Since you are purchasing a condo, most condo associations have the insurance premiums included in their monthly maintenance fee, so you can get the figure from the association, but most of the time this figure is shown on the listing information sheet, if it is in the Multiple Lisitng Service database. Hope this helps.
3 places, town for taxes, condo assoc for fees, and phone for ins quotes. good luck
