Can you close on a home prior to the "First Home Club" ten month grant period ending?

I am enrolled in the First Home Club matching grant for closing assistance fhlbny. I'd like to close prior to December 1st, however my 10 month required saving period won't be up until the end of December. Would this put me at risk for losing the funds? Has anyone dealt with this?
