It's true that it has been harder to get qualified for a mortgage. Your best bet is to contact a reputible Mortgage Broker and find out what you need to do to qualify. I would be happy to help you. Feel free to contact me.

The first step is to speak to a lender of course. That being said, if the student loan is current, and your loan to debt ratio is good (Gross income divided by outstanding debts plus the presumed monthly mortgage payment for a home) and you have good credit, there should be no problem in finding a loan that fits you.

The only way to answer that question is to contact a reputable Mortgage Broker. They have knowledge of every program available and will be able to tell you what things you can do to improve your credit score, if needed.

My advice is to get a personal evaluation of your finances to understand all your options. At that point, if both feel comfortable with all the numbers presented, get PRE-APPROVED, not pre-qualified and go shopping! You are in a great spot right now as you are starting fresh. Follow good solid advice and do massive amounts of research. Let me know if you need want to talk.
My company's website ishttp:// www.guardhill.com. I've also included my "new" blog...it is still in its infancy stages. Mon Mar 10 2008, 08:26 Web Reference: http://www.ramblequist.com

Yes,a really good mortgage broker.Use the internet and shop around. The mortgage market is offering some really good products right now,it all depends on your credit history and your ability to pay your bills.Make sure that you choose a reliable company to do this very private transaction.Only choose three companies to help in your mortgage search. Each inquiry actually lowers your credit score,so be careful, and good luck!
