Are there any mortgage options out there for someone with poor credit or are we just doomed for 3 yrs?

Pam - It really depends on what your poor credit is, and your income. I've got lenders who say they can still lend on a 580 credit score. The best thing to do is call a lender and chat with them about your situation. Most lenders will work with you to put you on the path to fixing your credit and getting able to buy a house if you don't qualify now.
