I am not really sure why you need someone "local". Where a person is physically located really has no impact on their knowledge and abilities. I am in Atlanta, but I do a lot of lending around the state here and the state of Alabama too. There are a lot of “local” loan officers in every area who really don’t have the first clue about how to successfully close a loan. Focusing on someone’s expertise rather than geography is probably your best bet.

It also seems there is not a lot of companies in Alabama that offer as wide of a loan program range as we do. We offer FHA 580-639 FICO, FHA 203K Renovation, HomePath® and HomePath® Renovation, and HomeStyle Renovation. Most companies only offer the standard conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA.

This did not answer the question. Please assume that I would choose a local person with "expertise".
