Hi, There are a large number of coops that will accept 10% down in this area, I know it pretty well. One thing to think about is that if you put only 10% down you will reuire PMI (Private Mortgage Insurance) from the bank. Heres the catch new regulations state that if you have under a 700 credit score you won't qualify for PMI and will have a problem unless you put 20% down and don't require PMI. If you have never bought a coop before there are a few things you should know regarding the board requirements and process in general.
