The answer depends on the terms of your listing agreement. Unless your listing agent agrees with you to terminate the listing agreement when you take it off the market, the listing agent has the right to continue marketing and selling your home until the listing agreement expires. For your scenario, if you take it off the market and put it back on later and the listing agreement still has not expired, then you are bound to use that listing agent.... more
