Drive to Cape Cod and walk on the beach!
Falmouth has year round resturants, beaches, shops, etc.
Come and walk the village, have a wonderful meal, watch the sun go down on the ocean, and enjoy the holiday lights and fun.

The Park St area is the best attraction hands down. You can see & skate the frog pond while it's frozen over. The ice sculptures in the Boston Common. Plenty of decorations and lights along Tremont St. You can also catch performances of the Nut Cracker at the Boston Opera House.

Faneuil Hall is a great marketplace anytime of the year, but is decorated and light up in December for a wonderful Holiday experience! You can get plenty of shopping in, get a bite to eat, or just take in the atmosphere while you admire the high Christmas tree.

I think the Nutcracker is a must see. You have to go to North End (Bricco) one of my favorite. Also try the city tours that take you around Boston and see all the historical sites.

Best Of Luck.

In addition to the things mentioned below, if they have time and are not from New England, a day trip to Vermont or New Hampshire.

The sights of Boston may be enough. We have plenty of restaurants and shopping and history to keep anyone busy for a few days at the very least!

There are quite a few online resources, here is one to government puts out:

as someone mentioned below, boston.com is also a good resource.

In my personal opinion:

Eat, drink, and be merry - hit the North End for some good eats :)

Also, for entertainment - Duck Tours might be fun!

And finally, our family favorite is the Frog Pond - ice skating and viewing the park all lit up!

Have fun!

Throw them into the Harbor so they get that real tea party experiance. Short of that, go to BosTix at Fanuel Hall and check out the daily discounted ticket selection for plays and concerts. Blue Man Group is fun if you have never seen.

See the various versions of The Nutcracker... We have the classical version, the Urban Nutcracker, and the Slutcracker :) Google all...

Go ice scating on the Frog Pond or on the Kendall Square outdoor rink.
Look up chocolate and cupcake tours of boston - those are always fun!

Go Salsa Dancing :) Salsaboston.com has good info.

the Institute of Contemporary Arts and the Museum of Fine Arts are always good.
Boston.com has good info in the "stuff to do" section.
