Moving from UWS to Carroll Gardens, has anyone else made that move?

Asked by Heather Fernandez, San Francisco, CA Fri May 4, 2007

I'm worried about missing the access to shopping and entertainment. Any opinions?

Carroll Gardens is one of my favorite neighborhoods.
I do not think you should be worried - there are many local shops and eateries in the area -and nearby quite a few larger markets and malls

Carroll Gardens has the subway (F& G) lines. It has one of the last Italian communities and being close by to Cobble Hill and Brooklyn Heights allows plenty of dining options. It's becoming over the years a hip cool place and an extension of Manhattan, which many Manhattanites have moved of recent. I like the different variables so close by. yes, I have and love.. There is always the subway.. I actually live in park Slope, but go shopping and for dinner sometimes at LUcali and Petite Crevette in your hood.. Call me if u need any help in where to find what... I am a Brooklyn lover and dont miss the UWS and have rented out my condo on CPW happily.. I do go to the movies downtown, which is a short trai n ride of about 15-20 min away to Canal street or Union Square..Best of luck, Sarah
