In the South village, there is the Sneaky Tiki & Crescent Bar where you'll get more "locals" hanging out at. There is also a nightclub, Club Phoenix which is a pretty nice dance club for the beach area.
My wife and I have lived on the island for 14 years and are never at lost for finding something to do. Feel free contact me for more information about things to do on Siesta.

You've been given excellent information but this comes from each individual's perspective. Siesta is an easy visit from Tampa. Our recommendation is to arrange for a weekend in the Siesta/Sarasota area and create your own experience. You'll find it will mean much more to you this way.
If you would like information on places to stay, restaurants to try, or special events to enjoy, feel free to call us of shoot us an email. we'll be glad to help with no obligation.
You won't regret the time you spend here.

The Beach Club offers a casual dance atmpshere, but with the exception of a couple bands, dont expect any "dance clubs" like you'd find in Tampa. Siesta Key is all about being comfortable and relaxing. Its very friendly and I always meet new people at the next table. Enjoy it!
