At first glance, Alpharetta has a clear "family" oriented scene. Look below the surface and you will also find a town ready for the single urban professional. Commute time to Atlanta has gotten better exponentially since the GA400 construction is coming ot a close, and the availability of evening entertainment is only limited by your imagination.

First time home buyers will find a variety of town home communites as well as Single Family Residences, well within a single income budget. Take some time to peruse the following link:

The upcoming Encore Park will bring a welcome addition of another center of cultural attractions. Take a drive down Windward Parkway or North Point Parkway and you will find a cornucopia of shopping and dining choices to choose from. A vibrant, active community, you can always find something to do outdoors at one of Alpharetta's many parks and green spaces.

The first answer is certainly well written and I would agree. Alpharetta is one of the top choices for families, young professionals and everyone else because there is something for everyone. You're 30 minutes to the lake, fine dining, gorgeous parks, malls, and Alpharetta has a very nice historic district as well. There is everything from Golf to fishing, skate boarding to fine dining.
