Historic Downtown Stuart is the heart of the cultural scene and night life. Gourmet restaurants and funky bars coexist with the the famous Lyric Theater where the shows range from rock to opera, comedians to dramas. Also available is the Barn Theater for wonderful Local theater. The Eliott Museum on Hutchinson Island displays antique cars and inventions and the Oceanographic Learning Center across the street gives us the chance to pet stingrays and learn about the environment of this beautiful area. Also on Hutchinson Island is the House of Refuge Museum showcasing the history of the Treasure Coast and how it got its name from all the treasure bearing ships that sank off our coast.
