You won't be able to deal directly with the bank so contact a local real estate professional to assist you. Sometimes the banks list the homes immediately and sometimes weeks, months and even years go by before they list them.... more
Sorry Barbara, no they don't. However, I have seen them take a long time to do the final foreclosure process and sometimes up to 2 years before they do the foreclosure. However, if you are renting a home that is going into foreclosure and it's a government backed loan, I have seen them let the tenets stay until the property resells.
If you would like to talk about this or any other questions you may have, feel free to contact me anytime.

It sounds like you are looking at a foreclsoure website that identifies properties in foreclosure. The lis pendens is the first legal action notice of the foreclosure. This does not mean the property is for sale. About 50% of the people in foreclosure try to sell or work out of the foreclosure and the balance let the property go to foreclosure.
You can try to contact the mortgagor to see if their interested in selling. They are most likley getting contacted by a lot of different people for differnt reasons, some for buying others trying to get them to do work outs, others trying to list the property and others that are just trying to help.
