I am unsure about the process of real estate agents getting the lawns maintained for the houses that they have listed. I would like to make contacts regarding my services, but do not know if I should approach separate agents, offices, brokers or banks that might own foreclosed properties. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you so much for your time.
Hi. Go to the local Realtor Associations in your area. They all produce newsletters, and will sell you a business card sized ad. Also, go to your local Chamber of Commerce and get a listing of Real Estate companies. Visit them in persron with a stack of your business cards.
I would also like to add to what Joshua has advised. Have a list of "Current" references, and testimonials available. Also you may also need to be flexible, and be ready to act quickly for some of us. For example, I had a closing recently, I represented the seller, and I promised the buyers, and buyers agent the lawn would have a fresh cut before closing. The vendor the seller had been using dropped the ball, well I save the flyers I get for a couple weeks, for "just in cases" I called one at 7pm, he promised he would have it done by 10am the next morning, I checked before the closing, looked great paid him later that day, and everyone is happy. He is also now on my referral list. Good luck to you.
Make up some flyers and distribute them to the local real estate offices. Offer a discount if the agent uses your services on multiple houses or sends you additional business.
Once you get the first call...do excellent work and earn the referrals.
