That's a huge tree! It's not going to be cheap, but it will probably raise your property values to have something like that removed. I'd call around a few difference companies and have them give you estimates. Then you can decide who to go with from there. http://www.brandywinetree.net/

Djennifer009, thank you for the advice about calling around to a few different companies. I had a large tree in my yard that I recently cut down, but I'm not sure I can remove the stump myself. Do you know how much it would cost to remove a stump that's about two feet in diameter? http://www.topnotchtree.org

The coists can vary, depending on who you call and the equiptment they use. Here's my advice - if it's close to the house, you can't pay enough. Get the guys with the big cranes and stuff. Also, make darn sure they are insured.

I am glad that my situation is not as serious. The problem tree in my yard has already been cut down. The previous owner left the stump, though. I didn't give it much thought when I purchased the home, but I want to get it removed now.

They can give you a free estimate and provide local services in New Haven County.

Wow! -- the best thing to do is get a few quotes from local landscaping/tree companies. You can go to the 'Milford Mirror' and check out the ads.

Good luck, Tania
