Hi Rick,

Did you know Trulia has a crime heatmap that also shows the crime reports? If you go under the "Local Info" section on any property page click the crime toggle which will give you all the insightful crime information you need.

Greetings,

The cities of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, and Henderson all operate their own crime mapping websites. The links as of the time of this post are:

http://www.crimemapping.com/map/nv/lasvegas

http://crimeview.cityofnorthlasvegas.com/

http://maps.cityofhenderson.com/public/police/crimesearch.html

Trulia is the best for that! http://www.trulia.com/crime then select the city and zoom in on the map to view the crimes and details.

Then go to crimemapping.com and you will see that Trulia says no crime in a certain area and police department will say a totally different thing. My daughter is moving to a "bad" area in Las Vegas because she believes what Trulia says as far as their crime stats so I went to crimemapping.com and this says 45 crimes in a week in that area. You can't trust Trulia they don't update or something. Don't trust what Trulia says check for yourself other websites.

Wow, that is a helpful link. It is not 100% accurate. I looked for my own car being being stolen, from my property. It did not list it. But, it was 7 years ago. That may be why it is not showing it. But, still I think it is a great tool.
