FIRST ANSWER
Burglary in Bellingham is not a big issue, although you can get the public records from the police department. The more prevalent, but stil not rampant, type of theft is what's called 'car prowls'--drunken college kids et al who smash a window on the street or parking and steal CDs and the like. To the victim, it's still a hassle with insurance and repairs, of course.
