I'm a single, white female and I've been living in Benton Park (63118) for the past four years. Prior to living in this area, I was in Richmond Heights. I love this neighborhood!!! Great restaurants, close to downtown, and near all the major highways. As for crime... Theft is the biggest concern. I've never personally been robbed, but I always make sure not to leave anything "visible" inside my car, I lock up my bicycle in the back yard, and I keep my home locked.

That is a question that real estate agents should not be addressing. There are web sites, however, that you can go to for that information. Check with the local police precinct of the neighborhood in which you are considering living in. It is also helpful to get a feel for the neighborhood by driving through the area after work, on weekends, during the day (if possible).
