This is a very broad area - if you have a specific address you can use a site such as http://spotcrime.com to help you assess the areas your interested in. Also, the local police and county sheriff will have up to date info.

It is very hard to answer. This zip code stretches from downtown Raleigh to more than 10 miles outside of town. This question needs to be more specific. I live in this zip code.

There are a couple of useful websites. The first explains how to get access to NC public records, including contact for the Police and Sheriff’s departments, http://www.prsearch.com/north_carolina/
and the second you type in a city and it gives an interesting comparison http://www.cityrating.com/citycrime.asp?city=Raleigh&state=NC
I hope that is useful to you.

It really depends on the area. The best thing you can do is call the Raleigh Police Department. They provide a great service on a street-by-street basis. You can call 919-890-3325, and on a street-by-street basis they will fax you all the 911 calls placed in the past year, and why they were made.

I'd also recommend speaking with an officer assigned to the area. My experience with the Raleigh PD has been very poitive with these matters.

You can also go this interactive crime map – very useful!! http://imaps.co.wake.nc.us/imaps/main.htm?mservice=ralcrime&…
