well...how can My friend and I know...he signed contracts and 1003...
well...how can My friend and I know...he signed contracts and 1003..for Buying and also for equity line and gave copies of ssn and driver license...also copies of home insurance...and he applied for a house in NV...is possible with just those docs..the broker could do something...get the money sell the house and go away>its been almost 2 months now....how can anybody check if it is on scrow...approved or not???

The only way to find out is to contact the bank you originally applied for a loan. Also, just to make sure contact the credit bereau to report the possible fraud. I hope you can track the guy who took your info. Charita King Fri Jul 4 2008, 00:38

George, All I can tell you is that when you sign papers to "close the deal" a Notary should ask you for your identification and a fingerprint.
Without knowing what your friend has signed and not seeing the papers firsthand I cannot give you a definitive answer., Wed Apr 23 2008, 09:11

well...he was planning on investment...he didnt give any check or money...just the initial forms...he has already fraud alert .

If I were your friend I would put fraud alerts on my credit reports with each of the 3 bureaus.

can i look up on public records online? I dont have any information on the broker...the number on the contract is out of service.....what else can i do?

Contact the broker - he is the only one that can tell you what has happened. Or, check the public records of the county where the property is
