Nobody - not a single person on G-d's Green Earth - should be willing to tell you that the neighborhood is "safe." Recently, a Bombardier Challenger 600 crashed in Vail, Colorado; I suspect that everybody thought that flight was safe, too.
My advice: drive around the neighborhood, especially at night on weekends. See for yourself.
All the best,
Anyone who says "safe" is at risk of getting sued if you become the victim of a crime. Anyone who says "unsafe" risks being sued by the local town for bad mouthing their city.
On the property link there is a tab on the map for crimes. It gives a visual look at the crime rate and type of crime in the area. You can expand or contract the area to gain more information. You can compare that to where you live now or other options and decide for yourself if you are comfortable. Best of luck.
