Yes and there are many surrounding areas that are great as well for a small commute. My husband and i both grew up in moses lake and now we live in one of the smaller surrounding towns (15 min away) called Warden, in fact we are selling our home. We love it, love the schools the small town atmosphere. its really great

The housing prices are actually at our lowest in many years. Much lower than the west side of Washington. Our crime rate is extremely less than Spokane or Seattle areas. I moved here years ago to raise my children in a better community and I am very pleased. It is easy to get involved with the community, as the people are nice and easy going. As for jobs, we have a handfull of large companies that continue to be hiring and Moses Lake also continues to have new businesses move to town. Hope this helps.

Moses Lake is wonderful! The weather is moderate with four seasons, but rare extremes. Healthcare is affordable and accessible, the environment here is clean and well kept, cost of living is low, and there are a variety of recreational choices. Despite being smaller, you have access to just about service you might need and the people here are kind, friendly and helpful. The schools are great and our police force is stellar. I just had the opportunity to relocate to a larger city and refused, hands down. I'm not leaving Moses Lake! Here's a few resources for you to peruse in your decision making process.;;

Good place to raise kids? Without a doubt! We moved here from Seattle area for just that reason and haven't been disappointed one bit. The parks and rec does a great job keeping a variety of activites going year round. As for jobs, that depends on your field. Many construction jobs are again set to gear up, BMW plant is opening soon, REC is expanding, we have multiple health care provider options, etc. Good luck in your decision! It is a difficult one.
