Dear Sue:

That is a very opinionated question and is subject to perception. It all depends on where you are coming from and what you are used to. In my opinion that is a safe area, but you need to do research into crime statistics in the area (do research on Google) and visit the local police precinct to get more information. You can also speak to local business owners and spend some time in the area (late at night) to investigate the "lay of the land".

If I can be of further assistance, feel free to contact me direct. Good luck!

Sincerely,

When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.
