I live in another part of Pontiac but would consider the area you mention to be quite nice. It is almost to Waterford. I can't say specifically how safe it is but I would personally feel safe in that area.

Now you know what Realtors have to deal with when we show homes that people do not take care of. It is sickening to have to walk through a home with such filth. Do you think it is the Realtors responsibility to clean these homes.

They may not be responsible to clean it but they should be responsible enough not to show a home in that condition.

I am not a real estate agent but I can tell you the "safest" area of Pontiac is ANYTHING north of Walton, E or W, and from Telegraph to LaPeer

I want to make one comment about real estate agents.I dont know if itis desperation, but I have been shown homes my millenium realty that wreaked of dogs and dirty humans, and I am appalled. If they dont like what I just put out there, then dont ever show me a home like you did at 713 Perry St. Pontiac MI. I couldnt understand why agent was waiting for me on the front porch w/the windows and doors open at BOTH ENDS of the house until I walked in; She told me "well we havent cleaned the carpet yet." Well you really need more than carpet cleaning, you needed HAZMAT. The basement I could smell from the lviing room and the odor changed as i climbed the stairs to a rank dirty human odor. To top it off I saw the largest dead cockroach I have ever see. She told me, "Oh, that is the first complaint we have had about pests here." Well ,the smells and the pests have taken over and trust me no agent worth their salt would EVER show a home in this condition in Rochester Hills, Sterling Heights, Auburn HIlls, etc. So all I can say is get your act together. Even people who choose to live in Pontiac want to live decently and ever dollar is hard earned and should be well spent.

Real Estate agents cannot answer questions about areas. It's against our ethics rules. However, we can direct you to website and information that you can search.

You can visit and click on the "city reports" section for in-depth crime stats and area demographics. You can even compare zipcodes, great feature. Another option is and even contacting the local police dept.

Good Luck,
