Part of the solution to violence is for non-violent people to move in (or hang around), being non-violent; Non-violence is viral, too. Sure it's a risk--but getting obese in the "safe" burbs and dying early is a risk too isn't it. Or driving from the burbs to that city job.

Looks like it's an area dense with violent crimes. Although I don't know how many were shot, you can see the types of crimes happening by scrolling down on the listing and clicking the crimes tab. The red area are the more violent crimes.
