Hi Cindy, since you seem to be in Tucson, and whether an area is considered high or low crime is subjective, may I suggest you park or walk around the area at different times of day and get a feel for the area yourself, besides visiting the various websites suggested. What really matters is if you feel comfortable there. You can also ask the people you see in the area about their feelings. Good luck.

The websites other agents have recommended would also be your go to sites. My preferred is

In addition, may I offer some commonsense advice? When my clients ask questions like these, I tell them to use the websites AND do some in person research. Driving the neighborhood at different times of the day and night can tell you a lot based on what you observe, and then you are combining statistics on crime with your own comfort level with what you see. Talking to the neighbors is a good bet as well. Ask a few who have lived there a significant amount of time what their experiences have been.

I hope having a different perspective helps! It's not always about the stats...

Hi, Cindy ... since, as others mentioned, discussion of areas in any type of subjective terms is a violation of federal law, we can't be of much help. However, here on Trulia there are numerous resources including links for crime stats in different areas that should give you an idea about the neighborhood.

Good morning Cindy,

As a Realtor, we are not suppose to discuss an areas crime rate. However, there are many public web sites that offer this information to you, the consumer at no charge. Are you working with a Realtor? For example, I give a copy of the AAR Buyers Advisory to all the buyers I work with, it contains a plethora of information for the potential buyer, including live links to items of concern, like crime rates.
I am including the link for you to view for yourself:

Best of luck in your search.

Hi Cindy,

Of course, we all want a safe environment for ourselves & our families. Real estate professionals are, however, prohibited from giving you either their opinion or the "facts" they know about certain areas. What we can do is provide you with the resources to find the information yourself. Here is a terrific link to the a City of Tucson website. Just click on the "crime reports" link & you should be on your way.

Sincerely wishing you the best,
