THis is the web site for TPD. It is very good in getting crime stats.

The interactive crime maps from TPD are quite helpful, as others have mentioned. You may also find the crime density maps useful, as well. They show you crime in relationship to the average crime rate in Tucson. Those maps are here:
http://tpdinternet.tucsonaz.gov/Stats/tpdgridmaps.html
Keep in mind that these are square mile maps, and much of Tucson has pockets of neighborhoods. Use the density maps to give you a broad idea of crime in the area, and the interactive maps to focus on a street or neighborhood. (Interactive maps are here: http://tpdinternet.tucsonaz.gov/Stats/Def.aspx )
Also, you can call the police department and ask to speak to an officer on that beat. Often they can give you insight beyond what statistics can provide, such as neighborhoods that have low stats because neighbors are afraid to call 911 due to retaliation (not to scare you, just give you information).
If you would like help locating properties in areas that make you feel safe, feel free to let me know. I would be happy to help.
Sincerely,
Mary

Greetings Happy One! You have an abundance of good advice here! If you can't find your street name on the Cities website use the same address but use "Gardner Lane" to pinpoint the search.

Good luck!

Hi Happy Teacher,

Yes like Kurt said previously check out the Tucson Police Departments Interactive Crime Statistics. You may also find out more information about the neighborhood of 1925 W Desert Broom from the Trulia website. Go to Stats &Treds at the top of the page & will give you many stats for the area.

I hope this helps!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
