As a licensed realtor, we cannot steer or promote any particular area at all. It is usually best to ride by a different times of the day, different days of the week to get a feel for the area as well as seeing the statistics that are public about the crime activity in a certain area.

If they have a job they can transfer, ok, but it is very hard to find anything either decent paying or decent working conditions. remember it's a right to work state and this area is a tourist driven economy at best. If u have a pension or some other steady income that needs supplementation, that's one thing, but if you're coming from Ny or anwhere in the North East beware of culture shock too. This is the south, and as we were told when we first got here "we don't do it that way here". But u adjust. The beach is not to be beat, clean, beautiful and lots of it. Lots of leisure activities for adults and children and Charleston only 2 hrs away as well. Hop this helps.
