Hi Bigdin,

I agreed with Kenny. There will always be crime in any area you live in. You just need to know how to protect yourself and your home while you are away.

Good luck!

Crime is everywhere. Just pick a nice neighborhood and be nice to your neighbors so they will look out for you and you to them.

I agree I'm not sure why anyone would have that frame of mind. I would suggest contacting the local police station. Who would know better than a police officer. Many offenses aren't reported if an arrest was not made.

Sorry, I left out the whole McCallum from Preston Rd. to Coit...DO NOT DRIVE OR WALK IN THAT AREA.

Not a good answer if you live in this area. Sign up for Daily Crime Report.com and you will find out how bad it is. Section 8, and criminals are very prevalent in the 75287 area. Just watch out, don't go out at night, stay away from Midway/Frankford, Midway/Rosemeade, All of Marsh Lane esp Frankford/Marsh Ln. to Trinity Mills/Marsh... Trinity Mill/Dallas Pkwy area, Pear Ridge, Timber Glen Haverwood Ln. - Do not live in those areas. Stay away from Preston/McCallum, Preston/Lloyd Dr. and Circle, Mapleshade after dark.

u. should be more concerned about those huge bradford pear trees that can snap easily in high winds and damage property and cars..........than the crime rate in the area. just an idea...
contact any good realtor and they can advise u on checking crime in area thru police dept.

My standard answer is if you are considering an area first check out http://www.bestplaces.net for ratings on crime, air quality and everything else you want to know then if crime seems high pose the question to the police and sheriff to find out why. If still considering drive the areas at night and you should know if you feel comfortable or not. The knot in your stomach telling you not to roll down the window will tell you to look elsewhere. If you could pull over, park and roll down the window you have found an area for your short list!!! :) let me know how I can help further.

That's almost a philosophical question.
It's always a combination of issues, social, economic, and enforcement.
