Where can I get a data dump into excel re: Austin crime data. I'd like to run stats by crime by area. Thanks

I'd call APD Community Services division and see if they can give you want you want. They might have FBI flat file to give you. I doubt you can download the raw data, but you can also look at Trulia heat maps for Austin and see that that helps.… target="_blank" rel="nofollow">…
You might also look at FBI site for Reports or Uniform Crime Reporting. Not sure if they dump by zip code or not or MSA.

Hello Khenrickson,

You will likely need to contact the the Austin Police Department (APD) or perhaps City of Austin's GIS department for an up-to-date data for an excel spread sheet on crime data. You may have to conduct an open records request (Freedom of Information Act or FOIA) for the data and the city may charge you a fee for processing the data.
