For the Spring area (Precinct 4), check out crimereports.com. This is a map that displays any or all the crime categories for the time frame you choose; pretty scary if you've never seen crimes mapped. For the city of Houston, check out http://mycity.houstontx.gov/crime/. The map isn't as versitile but helpful none-the-less. For your next house, check out whatsNOTinMLS.com

Hello,

You need to check the law enforcement sites to find out statistics on crimes.

Realtors are not in a position to know first hand of potential and/or unlawful activities.

go to the bottom of the Trulia listing and there is a map with tabs on it, click the Crimes tab and it shows a map.

Check out Crimespot.com or Houston police dept's website, too.

Houston is so big and diverse that even though we are not in the top 10 for crime in the country,

see http://money.cnn.com/gallery/real_estate/2013/01/23/dangerou…

it is still best to check with the locals, drive thru the neighborhood at different times of the week or day to see how the neighbors take care of their property, how the traffic is, and just the general vibe of the neighborhood.

Good luck, and if you need a Realtor, check out my website and send me a messege.
